
Hi, I’m Libby, a math tutor who helps upper elementary and middle school students go from “I don’t get it” to “I’ve got this.”

I know that struggle personally. I was the student who followed along in class… until the numbers changed and I was lost. I didn’t feel “bad at math.” I felt confused, and confusion often looks like guessing, rushing, or memorizing without understanding.
My Approach
I don’t start with more worksheets or quick tricks.
I start by listening closely to how students think then identify exactly where their reasoning breaks down.
From there, we rebuild missing understanding step by step, using visual, logic-based strategies grounded in learning science. Students learn why math works, not just what to do.
